🇫🇷 Fondé en 1964, le “Déifferdenger Big Band” figure parmi les plus vieux et riches en tradition du Grand-Duché. Constitué d’abord d’une équipe d’amateurs de jazz au sein de l’harmonie municipale de Differdange, le collectif s’est vu développer au fil des années. Depuis 2017, le Big Band se trouve annexé à l’École de Musique de Differdange. Nourri par les jeunes talents éminents de cette institution et placé sous la baguette du musicien polyvalent Pol Belardi, l’ensemble trouve une nouvelle force motrice et sait ainsi émerveiller le public par un choix de programme entre tradition et modernisme.
🇬🇧 Founded in 1964, the “Déifferdenger Big Band” is one of the oldest and most traditional bands in the Grand Duchy. Initially made up of a team of jazz enthusiasts within the municipal band of Differdange, the collective has developed over the years. Since 2017, the Big Band has been annexed to the Music School of Differdange. Nourished by the eminent young talents of this institution and placed under the baton of the versatile musician Pol Belardo, the ensemble finds a new driving force and thus knows how to amaze the public by a choice of programme between tradition and modernism.
